One of my favorite ways to spend a summer day in West Michigan is at Silver Lake State Park. There are plenty of things to do there with friends and family like dune rides, exploring lighthouses, and visiting farm markets.

Silver Lake is home to three miles of stunning Lake Michigan shoreline and nearly 2,000 acres of sand dunes. Dune rides are the most unforgettable off-road adventures in West Michigan. You can rent a buggy for the day or go for a hosted seven-mile dune ride by Mac Wood’s

Riding a dune buggy isn’t the only way to see Lake Michigan’s beautiful views. You can soar above the lake shore in a helicopter, rent a watercraft, or climb to the top of the lighthouse. Whichever you choose, you will have an exciting experience with breathtaking views.

The best way to spend the rest of your day is to see historical landmarks like the Little Sable Point Lighthouse, explore museums, and peruse and shop art galleries just down the road!

There are plenty of family-fun activities and attractions in Silver Lake and we hope to inspire you to plan a trip with your friends and family.
