West Michigan Intern Connect is a summer program of events and resources for young professionals. Designed to teach area interns about West Michigan’s lifestyle and abundant economic opportunities, and to help interns make the most of your summer internship experience.

  • Meet interns from other companies. Because you can always have more friends.
  • Learn about employers in the area. Because establishing a network is important.
  • Tackle career transitions as a young professional. Because #adulting is hard.

Conference session topics will be announced at our Summer Internship Season Kick-off Event on March 27. This event is free to attend and open to all.

Wondering how to get your interns there? Since Intern Connect is during the workday, companies can make it a part of their intern program and a requirement to attend.

Included in your interns’ registration:

  • Half-day professional development conference on June 26.
  • Summer Start-Up Guide, available to upon registration.
  • Intern Inform eNewsletter, our weekly newsletter created by interns, for interns highlighting community events and providing insight into common themes, questions, and relevant topics.
  • West Michigan Intern of the Summer Contest (coincides with National Intern Day, July 25).

This option is great if you have 10 or more interns!

We send you a discount code to share with your interns, interns register themselves, we invoice you for the number of codes used to register. Connect with Jessica Kuster to receive your unique company code.
  3. Singular registration – we provide you materials to promote the event to your interns encouraging them to invest in the event and approve the time away from their desks. Interns self-register. Connect with Jessica Kuster for flyers and additional resources for your interns.
