Tim grew up in East Grand Rapids and loved all of the outdoor opportunities that surrounded him while also being close to an urban downtown. He loved going camping, visiting Lake Michigan, and being able to get out and appreciate all of the scenic nature around his home. He also loved the “warmth of people in West Michigan” and the people here have always been one of his favorite features of the area.

Life brought Tim to other places like Tennessee, Utah, and Ohio, but he always missed his home of West Michigan. When it came down to where he wanted to settle with his family, Tim knew West Michigan is where he wanted to be. “The variety of things to do, the clean and spacious environment, and having everything that aligns well with raising a family” made the decision pretty easy according to Tim.

He connected with Hello West Michigan after moving back and deciding this was the place he wanted to stay for good. After talking with our Executive Director, Cindy Brown, he made a connection with our member company Garrison Dental Solutions. Tim started a new chapter in his career as an “Account Executive 1” with Garrison. Tim said we were able to provide “comfort and a feeling of support” by being sent out in our Weekly Resume Pack and setting him apart from other candidates who apply directly. (Sidenote: our weekly resume pack has helped over 2,000 people connect with area employers. Drop your resume with us.)

“My children enjoyed the outdoors growing up, went to good schools, and overall had a very well-rounded childhood thanks to all the area has to offer,” said Tim. When asked about favorite activities or places to eat in the area, Tim immediately jumped to the outdoors he’s so fond of. “As a family we love going to the beach and enjoying the outdoor opportunities, but we also love stopping in at Wolfgang’s when we had something to celebrate or wanted to catch up after they went away to school”. Tim is thankful to have had the chance to share some of his favorite childhood experiences with his own kids.
